Dr. Apala Mishra had her early education in Dehradun, completing her tenth standard from ANN Mary School. She moved to Delhi to complete her last two years of schooling and passed out from Delhi Public School, Rohini.
Apala Mishra pursued her dentist degree from Army College; her father is a retired Army Colonel. Her mother is a professor of Hindi at the University of Delhi.
She secured the 9th rank in UPSC in her third attempt. In a conversation with ‘The Democratic Mirror,’ Apala cited hard work, focus on goals and family support for her success.
When asked what would she like to implement by coming into the system, Apala replied, ‘she would prioritise women’s education and health.’
