A meeting of opposition leaders will be held on June 23 in Patna. Around more than 10 opposition party leaders will participate in this meeting.
Leaders of the largest opposition party congress Mallikarjun kharge and Rahul Gandhi also confirmed their presence in this meeting.
The reason behind this meeting is to unite the opposition against BJP in the upcoming 2024 lok sabha elections. Deputy chief minister of Bihar Tejaswi Yadav also said that there is ” No personal interest* of anyone in this meeting but uniting the opposition for the “betterment” of the country.
He also said to press, ‘we have to fight those people who are destroying democracy, constitution and want to change history. We do not have any personal interest. We have to take this decision for the betterment of the country. They(bjp) lost Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh and will lose the upcoming state elections as well.’
The following leaders of will present in the meeting, Rahul Gandhi and mallikarjun kharge of Congress, Arvind Kejriwal of AAP, Hemant Soren of JMM, Akhilesh Yadav of Samajwadi party, Mamta Banerjee of TMC, MK Stalin of DMK, D Raja of CPI, Sharad Pawar of NCP, Dipankar Bhattacharya of CPI(ML), Sitaram Yechury of CPI(M), Uddhav Thackeray of shiv sena.
Actually this meeting was scheduled on June 12 but postponed because Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun kharge and MK Stalin was not able to attend the meeting.
