The ‘Swaroop’ of Shri Guru Granth Sahib was flown from Afghanistan to India on a special Air India aeroplane with other Sikh members. It was received by Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri, V Muraleedharan, BJP national spokesperson RP Singh and functionaries at the Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi Airport in Delhi.
Union Minister Hardeep Singh posted a video of him carrying the ‘Swaroop’ on his head. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for rescuing people from the war-ravaged country.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the chief of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, also present to receive the ‘Swaroop.’ He also urged the government of India to amend the date of CAA ( Citizen Amendment Act) to benefit the Sikhs fleeing Afghanistan.
India has stepped us its evacuation mission to bring back Indian and other nationals amid the worsening security situation in Afghanistan post the Taliban’s takeover.
