Mahendra Singh Dhoni was born in Ranchi Jharkhand. Dhoni’s father’s name is Paan Singh and mother’s name is Devki. Dhoni’s father came to Ranchi from Uttarakhand and started working in a private company. Mahi also has an elder sister named Jayanti and an elder brother named Narendra.

Dhoni played 90 Tests, 350 ODIs and 98 T20 Internationals in his international career from 2004 to 2019. In 144 innings of Test, he scored 4876 runs at an average of 38.09. Apart from this, he added 10773 runs in ODIs at an average of 50.57. Whereas in T20 International, Dhoni scored 1617 runs at an average of 37.60 and a strike rate of 126.13. In 2004, MS Dhoni scored two centuries in a 50-over tournament while playing for the India-A team in Kenya (Nairobi). After this he got a place in India’s main team against Pakistan. In terms of batting, the beginning of Dhoni’s career was nothing special. Mahi could not show anything amazing with the bat in his first four ODIs. Of these, 3 matches were against Bangladesh and 1 match was against Pakistan. In the first ODI of his career in 2004, he was run out on zero. However, later he scored a century in the fourth match and did not stop after that.

Under Dhoni’s captaincy, India won the ICC T20 World Cup 2007, the Commonwealth Bank Series (CB Series) 2007–08, the Asia Cup 2010, the ICC ODI World Cup 2011, and the ICC Champions Trophy 2013. He put all these trophies in India’s bag. He retired from international cricket on 15 August 2020. Dhoni’s last ODI match was very sad.
